Bridgevale

There might be no WiFi in Bridgevale Park but there is a better connection. It is so wonderful to see so many families out and having fun together. Our vision for Bridgevale Park is a place where families and friends can get together and connect in nature.

Apart from seeing the magnificent Bishop or Bee-eaters, be sure to keep a look out for the Chameleons that were released into the park. Sit and relax on one of the park benches, and in no time at all you will forget that you are anywhere near the hustle and bustle of the city!

It is wonderful to see how the children love Bridgevale Park and it makes what we do so much more rewarding and necessary.

We've recently put exciting new signage up in Bridgevale Nature Reserve. Scan the QR code to learn more about these magnificent indigenous trees.  See if you can find all 10. Many thanks to  Brian Allison for this sponsorship.  If you are wondering why so many other large trees are tagless, they are either duplicate species or alien invasives. Thanks to those for continued support. With your Zappers and deposits we are slowly removing the unwanted plants and increasing our biodiversity with many new indigenous species.

We have also have Owl boxes that have been donated to Bridgevale. Oceanview Montessori raised money for the purchase of 2 owl boxes, we were further blessed by a donation of an owl box from Grovida. Thanks Vincent, Andrew and the team at Grovida, and John Spiller (a Durban North resident donated another box).
